For Issue 4, Rosetta invites writers and artists aged 13+ across the world to dream and look up to the sky with us. We want to emphasize folklore, cultural stories, and human dreams of origin and departure, starting from one of the hearths of human stories and myths: constellations.

Across continents and time itself, civilizations have looked to the heavens above us, and served as a connection between the sky above us and the mortal Earth. Likewise, we see writing, and this issue, as a medium to express our relationships with destiny and the natural world, whether it’s with each other, the Earth, or any divine deity.

We ask that all submissions are in a readable font, 12 point, and are single spaced (poetry) or double spaced (prose) PDFs/docx. Art can be any size, as long as it fits on a 8.5x11 size page. You may submit up to five poems, three prose pieces, and five art pieces (all in separate files please). Poems shouldn't be longer than 4 pages each, and prose submissions should not be longer than 15 pages. 

Works in a different language are allowed (and encouraged!) but an English translation must be provided for our editors. If selected, both versions will be published. Also, please turn on sharing view for everyone. Title each of your works FirstName_LastName_Genre_Title. For example: Rosetta_Lit_Poetry_Constellation. If you want to submit multimedia/hybrid work, email us at rosettaliterary@gmail.com!  

We accept previously unpublished art and writing as well as previously published writing. For the former, we ask for First North American Serial and Electronic Serial Rights, and for the latter we ask for Second North American Serial and Electronic Serial Rights. Simultaneous submissions are allowed and encouraged.

The deadline to submit is in late November/early December 2026 and we plan on publishing our issue in January. If you submit, please expect an email response in 2-3 months after submission. The first ten submitters will also receive feedback!
